Plans
for the
Festival
The first Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival was held in 2011. Since then, this event has gone from strength to strength and now, in its 14th year, is a visible testament to the multiple forms of learning that are happening in every part of the Limerick region. For 2019, the festival introduced a flagship Learning Cities-Regions Seminar event as part of the week. This event has since became an annual feature; involving international speakers and builds on Limerick’s participation in the UNESCO Global Network and the Irish Network of Learning Cities. This year in 2024, the festival celebrates 14 years, and has an extra-special programme of in-person, online and hybrid events to celebrate lifelong learning!
