Launch of Learning Limerick Website – 19th June

The website for Learning Limerick www.learninglimerick.ie will be launched on Wednesday 19th June in Istabraq Hall in Limerick City and County Hall, Merchant’s Quay. The launch of our new professional Website will strengthen  our online presence; thus contributing to the group’s strategic priority of enhancing the visibility and presence of Learning Limerick. One of the key objectives identified in the group’s current strategic plan was the need to create a strong digital presence for Learning Limerick and to ensure that it is fully integrated with Limerick City and County Council’s Digital Strategy. The Learning Limerick Brand is friendly, enthusiastic and promotes that learning is fun, while also being confident and strong, and these features are reflected in the look and feel and tone of the new website. There are key sections on the Website for the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival flagship project; the work with the UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning; the Learning Ambassadors initiative and the recent launch of Limerick Learning Neighbourhoods by the Limerick Community Education Network (LCEN). The Website complements the ongoing social media strategy already managed by Learning Limerick and the hosting of all the Lifelong Learning Festival events on www.limerick.ie/lovelearning.
