Hear ye, Hear ye, Hear ye!
One of our goals is to make every Festival as accessible and inclusive as possible. The varied choice of broadcasting platforms available for event hosts has made this a whole lot easier! Online, In-Person and Hybrid events all feature during Festival week and provide almost unlimited options for both hosts and learners alike.
Online: Technology is great. Over the last few years it has helped us stay connected both professionally and personally with online conferencing apps and websites. We zoomed from one team to another, we got some important face-to-face time our friends and family, and we satisfied our thirst for knowledge and learning. It has become an integral component for festival organisers, event hosts and attendees, providing access to a multitude of events all from the comforts of your own home/office/garden.
In-Person Events: The human touch. There is nothing like being in the company of like-minded individuals in pursuit of a common interest. Last year we saw the return of In-Person events to the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival following a short hiatus. These proved to be very popular as participants were understandably eager to get out and about again and meet and greet friends both old and new.
Hybrid: The best of both worlds! Hybrid event suits attendees who prefer to go to a live, physical event and those who prefer the convenience of online events or aren’t able to attend in-person can also participate. During last year’s festival hybrid events became very popular as attendees had this option to go in person to network, interact physically and enjoy the atmosphere. On the other hand, people who couldn’t attend in-person or didn’t want to go in-person had the opportunity to experience and access the event using their computer, phone or tablet.
